There is a new set of fixes and updates available for SPM5, which will update your version to Revision 748. 

 

These can be downloaded from our ftp server at:

        ftp://ftp.fil.ion.ucl.ac.uk/spm/spm5_updates

 

I've been asked to release a new batch of updates for SPM5.  If you have the original SPM5 installation (with or without previous updates), then simply download and install the patches from the Updates_748.tar.gz file and overwrite the existing files with the new ones.  A list of changes is available in the Updates_README.txt file.  A more detailed list can be found in Updates_Diff.txt.  Updates_Log.xml is an XML file, which may be useful some time.  The actual changes made since Revision 665 (the previous set of updates) and 748 (this set) are below.

 

Note that some very large files have been added to the updates, so the file of updates is now about 48Mbytes.  If everybody rushes to pick them up at once, then you may experience some problems as our server grinds to a halt.

Upgrade to DCM routines

DCM state equations and observers now have the form:

 

spm_fx_???(x,u,p,M)

spm_gx_???(x,u,p,M)

 

for  hdm, dcm, erp, and  lfp. 

 

NOTE:  all these equations must accept the model structure as a fourth

argument - this allows you to pass fixed functional forms and parameters to

the equations.  If you have local versions of extensions please checks the

canonical forms in the latest SVN version.

 

DCM for ERP now calls spm_nlsi_N,  which exploits the linear observer in

M/EEG to make the optimization more efficient.

Added updated version of Fieldmap toolbox. This version now works with a different convention for the polarity in the y-direction of the phase-encode blips. The pm_defaults files also reflect this for data collected at the FIL. The new version will now save vdm5_* files which have a different sign to the old vdm_* files. Importantly, in the main SPM5 distribution, spm_get_image_def.m needed to be updated so that Unwarp dealt properly with this and spm_config_realign_unwarp.m has been updated so that files with the correct name are selected.
