Before 'Syriack' drives anyone else mad, he's more usually spelt Cyricus, Cyriacus, Quiriac, Quiricus or Cyr; a child-martyr with his mother Julitta, and patron of children. Popular in France, a few chuch dedications in England. The Orthodox have a St Syriacus the Fighter, but I don't think he occurs in medieval England. Just means 'Syrian'.
